Did you ever think you'd see the day when hip-hop was synonymous with the Republican Party? Well, for one group the two go hand in hand. Claudio Simpkins a Hip Hop Republican has a simple message, black Republicans are just as down as liberals. Their only difference is that they hold conservative views on certain issues. Accept that all of Black Americans are not Democrats. I also know that Black America used to be Republicans,but this day in age at this time you gotta be kidding me. one of the great things the Civil Rights movement did was give us all the right to affiliate ourselves anyway we want. If a black person wants to be hard line conservative, they can be. There are plenty of reasons why some of them want to be and it's no one's business but their's. No one cries when the latino community votes republican though the GOP is heavy advocates of immigration bills. You think hispanics don't realize the Republicans are only courting them for votes but would deport them and all their families in a heartbeat?

Marion Jones Released From Prison

 

According to the Associated Press, former Olympic sprinter Marion Jones was released from prison today after serving a majority of her six month sentence for lying about her steroid use and a check fraud scam.
Jones left a San Antonio halfway house this morning and is probably on her to Austin where she has a home. According to LaTanya Robinson, a community corrections manager for the federal Bureau of Prisons, Jones will remain on probation.

Ruben Promotes Sickle Cell Awareness

The Sickle Cell Disease Association of America (SCDAA) , as part of its Be Sickle Smart Education Days, celebrities are pegged to tour and speak on the benefits of sickle-cell awareness. This year Ruben Studdard is involved with the movement and has been traveling the country bringing together sickle cell disease advocates and patients to share information about Sicke Cell Disease and iron overload caused by blood transfusions.Sickle Cell Disease is a blood disorder common in African Americans that sometimes requirestreatment with blood transfusions. However, many people with SCD themselves don't know that having 10 or more blood transfusions over their lifetime can lead to a serious condition known as Transfusional Iron Overload.Quick Facts About Sickle Cell Disease:
- More than 70,000 people in the United States have sickle cell disease (SCD)- One in 12 African Americans has the sickle cell trait.

 Hip-Hop Mayor Cops Plea; Sentenced

Ending months of legal wrangling, controversial politician Kwame Kilpatrick stepped down as mayor of Detroit yesterday (September 4) after pleading guilty to two counts of obstruction of justice. The plea ends Kilpatrick’s fight to retain his political seat despite a highly publicized sex scandal with his chief of staff Christine Beatty, which resulted in over 10 counts of perjury charges and misappropriation of city funds. Under the agreement, Kilpatrick will serve two four month concurrent jail sentences and pay the city of Detroit $1 million over a five year period. Also, Kilpatrick, 38, will be barred from running for political office over his five year probation period, lose his law license, and forfeit his pension. Following sentencing on October 28, Kilpatrick will immediately begin serving his prison term.Once affectionately dubbed Detroit’s first "Hip-Hop Mayor" due to his flashy appearance, youth, and lavish spending, the guilty plea ends Kilpatrick’s run as Detroit’s youngest mayor.

 

 

              Bobby Brown to Remarry?

According to reports, Bobby and his girlfriend Alicia Etheredge will be tying the knot. Clearly there's still some ladies who are willing to give this guy another chance. We all know Usher has been loving his new married life – well it looks like Bobby Brown who has been divorced for a year is ready to join the club. Bobby recently declared his love for his manager/girlfriend Alicia Etheredge to Sister 2 Sister Magazine saying, " the relationship is gonna work 'cause I'm gonna make it work."While there’s no word on when exactly the two will walk down the aisle Etheredge has been quoted as saying, "I think that Bobby is a big romantic and really does believe in love. His parents are still married after all these years and I think that he will find that again."Bobby and Whitney divorced after 14 years of marriage. I guess Alicia better get the bail money ready – Whitney stayed bailing Bobby’s ass out. Good luck to them.

Apparently Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant. I guess Palin released a statement to quell rumors that she faked her recent pregnancy to hide up her daughters. Wow!!! I won't write any baby mama jokes, because I think it's disrespectful. But I am sure a lot of the sick fools that read this blog have hundreds of them.
